| 초록본문(Abstract) | We analyze the structure of the $C^*$-algebras generated by isometric representations of a left-cancellative semigroup $M$, especially the reduced semigroup $C^*$-algebra generated by the left regular representation. We show that the order structure of the semi-group $M$ has deep relations with the structure of reduced semigroup $C^*$-algebra. Also we prove that the reduced semigroup $C^*$-algebra of a subsemigroup generating the integer group is isomorphic to the Toeplitz algebra. |
