초록본문(Abstract) | In the public health and medical sectors, mathematical modeling is crucial for predicting disease spread and aiding in numerous areas, including decision-making, allocation for limited resources, data analytics, and cost-effectiveness. In this talk, I will introduce two studies: firstly, the use of mathematical modeling to analyze mortality patterns and assess excess deaths during the COVID-19 epidemic; and secondly, the optimization of vaccine randomized controlled trials through a mathematical modeling approach. These examples underscore the pivotal role of mathematical methods in enhancing our understanding and management of public health challenges. |
