Superactivation in entanglement-based quantum cryptographic protocols

초록본문(Abstract) We show that all entangled states can activate some entangled states from which two honest parties may not distill a secret key. To be precise, we employ the key distillation protocol denoted by P, under which the security condition is known, and consider those entangled states that are not used for key distillation by the protocol P. Then, we show that a quantum state σ is entangled if and only if there exists ρ from which no secret key can be distilled by the protocol P such that ρ ⊗ σ is key-distillable.
