초록본문(Abstract) The Michaelis-Menten (MM) rate law has been widely used to describe enzyme-catalyzed reactions for over a century. While the applicability of the MM rate law is easily assessed in homogeneous environments, determining its applicability in heterogeneous environments, which are common in biological systems, poses challenges. This study shows that the MM rate law can yield misleading results under spatial heterogeneity. To address this issue, we propose an alternative method suitable for spatially heterogeneous environments.
