The Korean Mathematical Society, as a leading academic organization, drives the promotion of research in the fields of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and mathematical education as well as many other fields of science, thus expanding the mathematician base by encouraging less experienced mathematicians and experts to develop their futures and popularizing mathematics through mathematical training and outreach programs. Not only does KMS develop mathematical awareness through various academic activities; it also contributes to global recognition of the Korean Mathematical Society through innovative and internationally acclaimed activities and events.
