내용 Each week will be devoted to one major theme. We shall start the discussion with a survey of the state of affairs, listing down the problems to work on, and then focus - possibly in smaller groups - on these problems. There will be presentations on the progress achieved and also, if the need arises, tutorials on background material. Plenty of time will be reserved for exchange and discussions in between presentations. 

Programme Structure:
  • Session 1 (2-6 Sep 2019)
    Effective one-particle equations: Analysis and bounds on observables of the underlying microsystem
  • Session 2 (9-13 Sep 2019)
    Knowns and unknowns of nonrelativistic functionals, approximation schemes and their range of validity
  • Session 3 (16-20 Sep 2019)
    Momentum space functionals, bosonic systems, time-dependent density functional theory, finite-temperature DFT, and effective descriptions in the wider scientific community
  • Session 4 (23-27 Sep 2019)
    Relativistic systems, magnetic effects, and (especially two-dimensional) materials
  • Half-day discussion on workshop outcomes (27 Sep 2019)
  • NUS module on selected topics of the workshop programme
Students and researchers who are interested in attending these activities are requested to complete the online registration form. Those invited to participate and those applying for financial support do not need to register.
