Asymptotic stability of the quasi-linearly stratified densities in the IPM equation

초록본문(Abstract) We consider the 2D inviscid incompressible porous medium equation. This system is partially dissipative and the asymptotic stability of linearly stratified densities has been studied recently. In this talk, we extend the stability results of linearly stratified densities to the case of quasi-linearly stratified densities. The target density is the sum of the large background linear profile and the small perturbation that could be both nonlinear and non-monotone. The admissible degrees of both the quasi-linearity and the initial density disturbance are estimated with respect to the magnitude of stratification.
