안녕하세요. 서울대학교 수리과학부 10-10프로젝트 사업단에서는

University of California, Berkeley의 신석우 교수님을 모시고 10-10가우스석학강연을 개최합니다.

여러 학생들과 대중들이 수학에 대하여 토론할 수 있는 지식 공유의 장으로

■강연정보
- Title: Applications of automorphic forms
- Abstract: Modular forms, and more generally automorphic forms, have a wide array of applications in number theory, representation theory, topology, combinatorics, mathematical physics, and more. While I don't have a full explanation for the ubiquity of automorphic forms, I will showcase a simple arithmetic application as well as a recent application to sphere packing by Cohn-Elkies, Viazovska, and others.
