초록본문(Abstract) | An important family of mathematical quasicrystals is generated by the “cut and project” method. The principle is to project on a lower-dimensional plane a “slice” of a higher-dimensional lattice. The properties of the resulting point-set depend crucially on the slope of the lower-dimensional plane. I will present some results regarding the repetition properties of a point-set obtained by using a “typical” slope, in a measure-theoretic sense. This results extends some old results by Morse and Hedlund related to Sturmian sequences, and are based on techniques of Diophantine approximation. |
