FS-01 파노대수공간의 기하학 
Geometry of Fano Varieties

Fano varieties are fundamental varieties that play important roles in contemporary geometries. Verified or conjectured properties of Fano varieties have attracted attentions from physicists as well as mathematicians. In particular, the work of Caucher Birkar, a Fields medalist in 2018, has raised public awareness of Fano.  Even though extensive and intensive researches on Fano varieties have been carried out for more than a century, numerous features of Fano varieties are still shrouded in a veil of mist. The topic of the session is base mainly on Fano varieties.

Mathematics, the Beginning and Core of Evolution of Artificial Intelligence

As artificial intelligence fuses with different fields and various technologies are pouring out, we are in the spotlight of the post-human era. Mathematics lies in the foundation of artificial intelligence technology which is attracting the most attention these days in connection with this trend. The role of mathematics, which forms the basis of artificial intelligence technology, will be introduced from the scientific, engineering, and industrial point of view.

Special Session and Contributed Talk will be respectively timetabled in a concurrent time slot.  Talks are invited in any area of the mathematical science, with acceptance at the discretion of the organizers. If your talk falls under the heading of one of the special sessions already listed, please contact one of the session organizers before submitting an abstract, as special sessions have limited time slots.

SS-01 비국소 미분방정식: 해석과 수치 
Nonlocal Differential Equation: Analysis and Numerics

Nonlocal differential equations are applied in modeling of physical, biological, and engineering systems, for instance, interacting particles, pattern formation, continuum mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetic theory. From the modeling of collective behavior to the classical mechanics such as Boltzmann equation, nonlocal differential equations arise in diverse equations. The study of nonlocal differential equations requires various mathematical tools; conservation law, variational method, dynamical system, analysis, and numerical analysis, etc. In this special session, we discuss the latest results on modeling, analysis, and numerical analysis for nonlocal differential equations.

Elliptic and Parabolic Partial Differential Equations with  Applications

It is aimed to announce and share new results in the areas of elliptic and parabolic equations and their applications. It is scheduled for 12 speakers, in particular including young promising mathematicians in the literature, to give their fine results obtained recently. It is expected to make a valuable contribution to the advances in the regularity theory of elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations and its applications to the related topics.

Operator algebras began as a mathematical background of quantum mechanics, which became an independent field showing various applications nowadays. In this special session we would like to go back to the starting point of operator algebras reflecting the role of important tools for understanding quantum phenomenon.
